Journal of National Studies began its publication in order to produce specialized knowledge about "National Identity and Solidarity" and also in order to explain theoretical topics and research in the fields of national identity, social harmony and national cohesion and solidarity, historical coherence, geographical scope of Iranian culture and civilization, diversity Of the country and research on the components of Iranian-Islamic identity, and has succeeded in obtaining a scientific-research degree in the fall of 1999 and on 2006/3/14 in a letter No. 7133/3 from the Scientific Journals Commission of the Ministry of Science, Research And technology.

Also in the letters No. 22017/11/3/89 dated 2010/9/28 and No. 208119/18/3/91 dated 2013/1/19; the scientific-research degree of the National Studies Quarterly has been extended by the Scientific Journals Commission of the Ministry of Science, Research and Technology.

It should be noted that in 2012, through a letter No. 90/3/11/3064, a scientific-research degree was obtained from the Scientific Journals Review Commission of the Ministry of Science, Research and Technology.
