Duties of editor:

  • The duties of the editor in the “National Studies” Quarterly are based on the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE).
  • The editor of the magazine actively strives to improve the quality of the journal with a fair, professional and scientific approach.
  • The editor is responsible for deciding whether to publish articles submitted to the journal.
  • Reviewing articles in terms of following with the policies of the editorial board of the journal and adherence to the approved laws are another task of the editor.
  • The editor should review the article solely in terms of content, regardless of the authors' race, gender, sexual orientation, religious beliefs, ethnicity, citizenship, or political orientation.
  • The editor and any member of the editorial board should not disclose any information about the submitted article except to the author, reviewers, editors and publisher.
  • The editor may not use unpublished items in submitted articles without the written permission of the author.

Duties of reviewers

The quarterly reviewerspay attention to the following points in performing the reviewing process:

  • The reviewer assist the editor of the journal in publishing the quality, content and scientific review of the articles. The reviewers communicate with the author through editorial members to help the author improve the quality and content of the article.
  • All information contained in the articles should be considered confidential to reviewer the and should not be shown or discussed to anyone other than those authorized by the authorized editor.
  • The reviewing of articles should be based on scientific documentation, sufficient reasoning and clearly expressing. The personal opinion in judging articles should be avoided.
  • The reviewer should attract the attention of the editor to any notable similarities or overlaps between the articles under review or any other published article of which he is aware.
  • Special information or ideas obtained during the reviewing should be kept confidential and should not be used for personal gain.
  • Any reviewer who feels that he does not have the require qualifications to review a research work for any reason, whether the subject of the article is not in the field of work or the reviewing process is prolonged due to lack of time or lack of access to sufficient facilities, etc. informs and cancels the review process of the article.
  • Paying attention to the sources used in the article is another task of the reviewers. All research, topics and quotes used in the article should be accompanied by a complete reference in the bibliography.
  • Reviewers should not accept articles for which the interests of certain individuals, institutions and companies are obtained or personal relationships are observed.
  • Reviewers are committed to impartial evaluation of the articles and review and evaluate articles only on the basis of scientific and professional criteria.
  • The reviewing process is based on a unknown two-way method (author and referee).

Duties of the authors:

  • Articles should be the result of research and scientific work of the author or authors and in the specialized field of the quarterly.
  • The author must refrain from any plagiarism and seriously respects the principles and rules of scientific work in the field of research.
  • The author is responsible for the accuracy of the content of the articles.
  • In referring to the contents of other publications, the source of the contents should be mentioned correctly and accurately so that there is no gap in calculating the impact factor of other publications.
  •  Articles have not been published in any of the local and international journals or collections of articles of like-minded organizations and scientific conferences or have not been submitted to other journals at the same time.
  • Whenever the author notices any errors or negligence in his/her article, s/he informs the editor of the magazine or the publisher about it and ask to correct it or withdraw the article.

Rules of the "National Studies Quarterly:

  • The personal information of the authors should be kept strictly confidential to all who have access to it, such as the editor, editorial board, internal and executive director of the journal, and other active actors (other than the author) such as referees, consultants, editors and trusted publishers.
  •  Articles should be decided at any stage regardless of the authors' race, gender, religious beliefs, ethnicity, citizenship, or political philosophy.
  •  Quarterly is free to reject, accept, edit, summarize or modify received articles.
  • The staff of the Quarterly are committed to the impartial review of articles and does not discriminate in the various stages of receiving and evaluating articles.
  • The Quarterly does not give special privileges to any person or article and only reviews articles based on scientific principles and criteria.

Items of violations of publishing ethics by the authors:

  • Plagiarism: Plagiarism means the intentional use of another person's articles or ideas in one's own name. Even using another person's sentence or previous sentences without mentioning the source is considered theft.
  • Distortion: or fake data is distortion when the researcher has not done a study in practice but provides data and conclusions. Distortion also occurs when conducting research but altering data and results.
  • Simultaneous submission: This is when a copy is sent to two journals.
  • Duplicate submission: Occurs when two or more articles have the same assumptions, data, and results.
  • Misrepresentation by another author: All authors listed in the article should contribute to doing so.
  • Manipulation of resources: It is when several sources are mentioned in the final part of a copy, while they are not mentioned in the content of the text.
