Abstract

Development literature in Iran in recent years has witnessed the emergence of concepts such as localism, indigenous selection, etc., ones that considered to have a positive burden for sustainable development in Iran. although, one can not ignore some of the positive aspects of localization approaches to the management and development of countries, but the implementation of such policies for societies like Iran, regardless of some of the requirements of domestic policy, can have unpleasant consequences in a long time.
Among the initiatives that have been implemented in recent years in order to facilitate higher education and some social objectives in Iran, is the indigenous selection of students of universities. The plan was approved by the Supreme Council of the Cultural Revolution in August 2008 on the recommendation of the Ministry of Science.
The relevant authorities, including the Ministry of Science and Organization of the Assessment of the Country, have various reasons for defending the plan, which include: reducing social and cultural damages in dormitory environments, reducing the costs of universities and students, establishing a kind of educational justice And soon. The extent to which defendants' argument about indigenous Selection can be defended, is not the subject of this paper, but this paper seeks to show what has been neglected in the indigenous scheme is its consequences in the area of social cohesion and unity and national identity of Iranians.
