*National Studies* (Motale’at-e Melli) – A Scientific Quarterly
Focusing on National Security
Distinguished Professors and Esteemed Researchers,
Greetings and regards.
The scientific quarterly *National Studies* began its academic activities in the autumn of 1999, focusing on the themes of national identity and national cohesion. Today, backed by nearly three decades of continuous effort and the publication of 105 consecutive issues, it stands as a well-established and reputable journal in this field. On March 13, 2006 (1384/12/23), the journal was granted "Scientific-Research" status by the Scientific Journals Review Commission of the Ministry of Science, Research and Technology (Letter No. 7133/3). This accreditation was subsequently renewed by the same Commission (Letters No. 22017/11/3/89, dated September 28, 2010, and No. 208119/18/3/91, dated January 19, 2013). Furthermore, in 2011, the journal received authorization from the aforementioned Commission (Letter No. 90/3/11/3064) to publish special issues under its "Scientific-Research" designation.
Currently, *National Studies* aims to generate specialized knowledge within the realm of "National Security." It invites submissions of original research and theoretical discourse centered on national security—specifically covering areas such as socio-cultural security, political security, international relations, and economic security. Articles that align with the thematic scope and discourse of the Quarterly, possess a research-oriented nature and substantive depth, reflect a distinct identity, address issues concerning Iran, and feature a scope or case study that is not overly narrow—or are capable of being revised to meet these criteria—will be considered for publication following a review process and the receipt of feedback from the journal’s esteemed reviewers.
Accordingly, the *National Studies Quarterly* (Faslname-ye Motale'at-e Melli) invites distinguished professors and researchers to submit their scholarly articles on the aforementioned themes.
**Priorities and Criteria for Article Acceptance**
In its mission to advance specialized knowledge regarding the national security of the Islamic Republic of Iran, the *National Studies Quarterly* accepts articles for review and publication that:

2. Address specific issues or challenges related to the national security of the Islamic Republic of Iran—within the realms of political security and international relations, economic security, or socio-cultural security—and adopt a practical, policy-oriented approach.
3. Adhere to academic research standards regarding theoretical foundations, methodology, and scientific framework, demonstrating the necessary scholarly rigor.
4. Have not been previously published—whether in another journal, a collection of papers, conference proceedings, or any other academic forum—and are not currently under consideration by another publication.
