Abstract
Collective identity is a joint way of thinking, feelings and sentiment of a group. From the modernity viewpoint, on the base of symbolic interactionism, it excites a strange sense of attachment, affinity, and obligation among the group members, and facilitates the process of self exploration of the social actors and reflection of people’s attitude towards them. Iranian identity is a collective identity that has a macro level than the other micro-identities that live in Iran, and enjoys a special greatness and dignity and its elements have formed during a long period of history.
This article has considered Iranian identity in Kurdish poetry using documentary method and content analysis, and on the base of historical backgrounds, has considered several dimensions of Iranian Identity, such as “Persian Language, socio- cultural structure, territory, political and religion, and it has designed analysis units for each category.
