The aim of the present study was to examine the relationship between finding identity and the tendency toward Islamic mysticism and false mysticisms. The Survey and Correletion method had been used in this research. The population of the study was all male and female students in Isfahan, Payame Noor and technological universities of Isfahan in 2011-2012. In order to choose the samples, the cluster sampling method was applied. The sample size included 200 students composed of 100 males and 100 females. To collect the information four questionnaires were applied. The analysis of the results showed that there is a significant positive relationship between the score of finding identity and tendency toward true mysticism and awareness. Also, the degree of their tendency toward true mysticism is more than false mysticism. There is not any significant relationship between awareness and the tendency of male and female students toward true (Islamic) mysticism. The degree of familiarity with books related to true mysticism and false mysticism is higher in male students than females.
