Abstract
This research investigatessocial and culturalimpacts of graffiti inthecity of Tehran (area 19). This study is intended three identity, functioanl and aesthetic implications for graffiti, with regard to the enjoyment of the urban landscape systm approach and by using triple pattern "person, environment, Community". To assessment theoutcomes has been used thesurvey method.Statistical populationareresidents around the graffiti (pedestrians andstudents). Based on thefindings, graffiti in the cityaremoreaesthetic applications. Second, functionalperformanceand ultimatelyimpact the identity.More specifically, the increaseof urbanbeauty and attractiveness, and a feeling of exhilaration and vitalityin theaveragehas been reported. In return, the weak sense of visual comfort and lack of strengthening sacrificial, revolutionary and scientific values and urban life are considered as the negative impacts of graffiti.
