Abstract
This study aimed to investigate the influence of common cultural rituals on social development in city of Dezful. Participants in this study were 15 residents of various ethnic groups in city of Dezful that participated in common rituals Ashura, Respect to cedar tree and fairy votive Tablecloths. Researchers in this qualitative study used phenomenological approach and in-depth interviews techniques to collect the data. Also for analysis the data, used the Collaizzi’s method. The findings are four categories "identity", "individual - social security", "Social interaction" and "social Integration" and the Core Category is "common cultural rituals facilitate Social development". The results show that rituals provide an opportunity for various groups in Dezful city to increased consensus and cohesion and together form a single community to expedite the process of social development.
