In the 2021 presidential election, Typography is used as the main elements  of expression of meaning.  The present analysis deals with the relationship between visual and written signs in 2021 election typography and examines how the -Iranian identity is transmitted through the use of visual and written symbols in these works. The research method is descriptive-analytical. The method of collecting materials is a library through taking notes and image-reading. The results show that national identity is expressed in the text through the use of the visual symbol of the Iranian flag or the colors used in it.
That the Syntagmatic and Associative (Paradigmatic) relations between the visual and linguistic signs are seen in them. Islamic identity is also reflected in the Syntagmatic relationship between written signs designed based on Islamic calligraphy and decorative symbols of Islamic art in the design of electoral writings. The Syntagmatic and Paradigmatic relations  of visual and written signs in identifying the explicit and implicit meanings of writings designed in election advertisements are recognizable and effective in conveying meaning to the audience. The play between linguistic signs and the design of letters in the typography of the 2021 presidential election expresses  national identities, Islamic identities, individual and ideal identities
