National Solidarity and Identity in Ethnic Songs

Abstract
As a part of microcultures of different peoples, the ethnic songs are indicative of the wishes, feeling and views of peoples towards historical facts, social conditions and cultural identity.
Althouth the contents of most of these songs are restricted to the associated ethnic culture, some harmonious songs replete with national contents, could be easily found in the microcultures of the Iranian peoples which are somehow reflective of patriotic feelings, concerns and respects of different peoples towards the common facte, as well as Iranian nationality and identity. Besides the introdaction of different features and various sorts of music of each of Iranian peoples, some of the selected songs are discussed along with a study of the significant factors in their development process.
