Iranian Music: A Preamble to National Solidarity and Unity

Abstract
The sensatioal air of music which dynamically and restlessly echose the song of solidarity and sympathy in the hearts of people and its rythm which unifies the congregated hearts, are well capable of raising the call for unanimity and unification of all the people from different races and groups.
Among the issues addressed in this article are: research in the depths of Iranain music, in order to discover its effect on the creation of unity among different peoples; difinition of the relationship between musical, cultural, social and religious aspects of life in our country; determination of the status of this traditional art in the history and geography of our land; and the sociological examination of Iranian music and its role in the formation of social movements during the last century.
