Bahar and National Aspirations

Abstract
The present article tries to analyze one of the most important preoccupations of Malek Ushoara Bahar. Through studying national and patriotic obsessions of Bahar, the writer tries to answer few questions. Among them are: Why in 1907 he published a series of articles titled: “national sapirations”? What did he mean by nationality and Iranianism? Referring to Bahar’s life in his young age, which formed his nationalist ideas, the author tries to answer these questions within the framework of the following concepts: nationality and its constituent elements, national aspirations, and ancient-oriented nationalism.
