Iran is a name of the territory and the state that is historic in the political geography of the world and focus of Ferdowsi's Shahnameh is in honor of all of people that had attempted for its survival. The concept of "IRAN" had had multiple reflections Based on variety Methods of statecraft & ruling in Ancient Period in Shahnameh. Applications of Iran or having used it with the geographical and geographical- political concepts had created multiple definitions about Iran in Shahnameh. Iran, iranshahr and iranzamin which have used in shahnameh and other historical and literary sources, at first it seems there are the same concepts but by studying of shahnameh and other resources, and historical knowledge, especially of the Sassanian period we can understand that there are different concepts. Ferdowsi knew well these concepts and applied them in Shahnameh. Therefore, this study attempts to examine and explain the functionality concept and multi-orientation of these names in Shahnameh.
