How do we understand and evaluate others, Avoiding or relatationship with them is an important role in communicating with others or deny or remove them. One of the most effective ways to understand each other's feelings and perceptions of individuals and groups in relation to the identification, is analysis of the processes that through which social perceptions and judgments of individuals and groups can be evaluated on each other. The main subject of this paper is studying the functions of stereotypes and prejudice between social groups and it’s impact on social identity. In this paper the concepts of stereotypes and prejudices are explained, and the relationship between them and the identity functions of them will be discussed. میزان شناخت و نحوة ادراک افراد یک جامعه از یکدیگر مبنای اصلی تعامل آنها با یکدیگر است. این‌که ما دیگران را چگونه فهم و ارزیابی می‌کنیم، نقش شایان توجهی در برقراری ارتباط با دوری‌گزیدن از دیگران و یا نفی و حتی حذف آنها دارد. تحلیل فرایندهایی که از طریق آن بتوان تصورات اجتماعی و قضاوت‌های افراد و گروه‌ها را درباره یکدیگر ارزیابی کرد، یکی از شیوه‏های مؤثر برای فهم احساسات و تصورات افراد جامعه از یکدیگر و در رابطه با گروه‏های هویتی است. در نتیجه، به واسطة گستردگی پیامدهای این تصورات، ضرورت تحلیل و ارزیابی آنها بیش از پیش احساس می‌شود. پرسش‏ اصلی مقاله حاضر این است کهتصورات قالبی و پیشداوری در بین گروه‏های اجتماعی چه کارکردهای هویتی دارند؟ در این مقاله، ابتدا مفاهیم تصورات قالبی و پیشداوری و ارتباط میان آنها تبیین می‏شود و در ادامه کارکردهای هویتی آنها مورد بحث قرار خواهد گرفت. https://www.rjnsq.ir/article_97307_3a6ccbe1c5e1b2ca9fa2b58b94e9d3e0.pdf
