The consequence now is the formation of a new form of human relation which is distinct from the common patterns in the mass media. This has inherently provided new opportunities in issues related to identity.  Since Internet has become a daily part of the lives of the people in the modern world, it would be worthwhile to better understand its function and patterns in the lives of the people of modern world. Therefore, the attempt in this article is to study the effects of Internet on cultural and social structures and also to study its consequences in the formation of new individual or collective identifies based on different theoretical approaches. بدون تردید، ورود فن‌آوری‌های ارتباطی ـ به‌ویژه اینترنت ـ دگرگونی‌های بنیادینی را در ساختار مناسبات و ارتباطات انسانی ایجاد کرده است. پی‌آمد این امر شکل‌گیری نوع جدیدی از تعاملات انسانی است که ضمن تمایز از الگوهای ارتباطی مرسوم در رسانه‌های ارتباط‌جمعی، عملاً فرصت‌های نوینی را در جهت تجلی خود و هویت، به‌وجودآورده است. از آن‌جا که اینترنت امروزه به‌عنوان بخشی از تجربیات و زندگی روزمره‌ی افراد درآمده است، بالتبع شناخت جامعه‌ی نوین مستلزم بررسی همه‌جانبه‌ی الگوهای ارتباطی موجود در جامعه می‌باشد. از این‌رو، ما در این مقاله تلاش خواهیم‌کرد تا ضمن بررسی آثار اینترنت بر ساختارهای اجتماعی و فرهنگی، مهم‌ترین پی‌آمدهای آن را در تکوین و برسازی هویت (فردی و جمعی)، بر مبنای روی‌کردهای نظری مختلف، مورد ارزیابی قرار دهیم. https://www.rjnsq.ir/article_100979_68095f4a82903794f88a31be311bc4bb.pdf
